NaPoWriMo 2012

I can't remember when I last did NaPoWriMo. Anyway it begins tomorrow, so I'm gonna attempt it.

I'm sorry I haven't been visiting the blogs on my bloglist or taking part in the prompts lately. Other than my usual gaming habit, I've had work, as well as some new activities for my own personal growth.

I'm gonna try to be more focused on poetry this month. I still don't know if I would take part in prompt, it's just that when I do, I wanna make sure I can visit the other participants and visit in return those who visit me.

Creepy behavior of insects is what makes insects creepy

***
Mystery

Insect wings lie scattered a-top a mossy rock
but no sign of them who wore them;

where they've gone
no one knows.

Back into the ground perhaps,
back into the cracks of earth
or rotten wood;

after one night
of wild flying
towards wannabe moons
and starlights,

after one clear night
of mad dancing without steps
under the brightest spots made by Man,

pair away, en masse
to love and to mate.

After that, return to the undergrowths
to lay their eggs and then...

who knows what happens to them?

Insect wings lie scattered a-top a mossy rock
like discarded prom dresses.

Not everyone likes going to the park

****

Displacement

All about after a drizzle,
purple blooms wild along
muddy footpaths emit
inviting sweet smells;

a big buzzing black wasp
displaces a bumble bee,
rapid beating wing blades
ripping up petals entirely.

A man displaces black wasp,
his lively wife trails after
with eyes sparkling clear as
the cool reservoir water,

says "how beautiful this place --
would be perfect for a picture."

Without pause, he tramples on,
mumbling,
                "Just walk. Just walk."

****

True story. I guess he didn't really want to be there.

Attempting a kind of rhythm but it's not something I do well.
